"Edmentum is a leading provider of online learning programs designed to drive student achievement for academic and career success." Edmentum provides the rubric below on their website which gives an overview of some of the most critical aspects to consider during the evaluation of technology. The rubric provided by Edmentum is not directed to any age group inparticular and can be used for all age groups. 

The rubric seems to be mainly be developed to evaluate "systems" which limit it's usage to a very specific type of educational technology. The rubric is very simple and easily understood and is visually appealing. It only uses a 3-point scale, instead of the standard 5-point Likert Scale which doesn't allow for as many distinctions to be made about the technology it is assessing.

The rubric uses four dimensions to assess technology: Content, Administrative Functionality, Student Engagement, and Customization. This is a very small number of dimensions used and it does not give a full picture of whether the technology is effective or not. 

Overall, I do not think that the Edmentum Educational Technology Evaluation Guide is very effective at assessing educational technology. While it's simplicity makes it very straightforward, it just does not gather enough information to make informed decisions.
